Okay, I love Jesus with all my heart/mind/body and soul, but I even get annoyed by the "if you don't send this prayer to everyone on your list in ten seconds, you don't love God!" messages. I don't like to send forwards, much less read them very often because of viruses that get sent through them. Does protecting my computer from spyware mean I don't love God or that I refuse to show my faith? I would rather post a heartfelt message and just send it to a few people. If they are touched by it, they can forward it to others.. I have no control over that, but I don't like messages that demand that I tell people things or do things to prove my faith.
A lot of people who are new to Christianity, or do not believe in it at all are offended by "religious maniacs" or "bible beaters".. not to say that people who send messages of this nature are in everyday life.. but it appears that way in these messages.
So to the posters.. why not try to go at it from another angle? Why not send an e-mail, or go out to lunch with those you are trying to reach? Have a prayer intercession at home, and call and tell them you've been thinking of them and would like to hang out. As a Christian myself, that would mean so much to me. Fellowship is a huge aspect of Christianity. As believers we are supposed to bring the light to the darkness. One by one... or in small groups.. don't flaunt it... people should see Jesus in you. By your everyday actions and words.
I want to challenge people to challenge others... go after what you believe 110% because it's all or nothing. You're either hot or cold.
Think about it :)
